## SEVERVOIDSEVERVOID did not begin with SEVERVOID.Its roots go back to the mid-2000s, when the project’s creator performed under the name Axis in the industrial band ProtoTerra. By 2006, ProtoTerra had already established the core ideas that would later define SEVERVOID: machine-driven rhythm, hostile electronics, distorted atmosphere, apocalyptic imagery, and metal treated as part of a larger electronic framework rather than the entire point.In 2008, ProtoTerra released The Accelerated Path to Darkness, a 15-track industrial/electronic record that documented that first fully formed version of the sound.Years later, that DNA resurfaced through SCITEQ, where industrial electronics, extreme metal, bass music, and cinematic production were pushed into a heavier and more modern form.SEVERVOID is the next stage of that evolution.Deathcore, tearout, riddim, industrial sound design, mechanical grooves, hard stops, sub-heavy drops, and violent electronic textures now sit at the center of the project. Guitars are still there, but they are no longer the whole machine.The name changed. The technology changed. The weight increased.The core idea never did.ProtoTerra was the beginning. SEVERVOID is what survived.
